04 Dec Over €1.2m boost for local sports clubs Tallaght, Rathfarnham & Citywest
Sports clubs serving Tallaght, Rathfarnham and Citywest emerge as major winners in the Governments sports grants scheme.
Sport is the lifeblood of our communities in Tallaght, Rathfarnham and Citywest. As well as enjoyment there are many health and wellbeing benefits for local people of all ages. Grants of over €1.2m have been provided to clubs providing activities ranging from tennis, football, boxing and cricket. It is great that some of the funding is being used to improve access to ensure that people of all ages and people with disabilities can enjoy sports in their local communities.

Many of the clubs will use their funding to improve access for all members of our communities, there is also money for essential works as well as improvements.
